Protection of Female Workers in Employment Act

Female workers are prohibited from night work between 10 p.m. & 5 a.m. in industrial and agricultural. However, the Director General of Labor has the power to exempt any group of female employees from this restrictions upon the application from the employer.

An employee is not permitted to annual leave if absent from work without the permission of the employer and without reasonable excuse for more than 10% of the working days during the 12 months of continuous service

Number Of Sick Leave Entitled If You Have To Be Hospitalized

If your illness/ injury require you to be hospitalized, you are entitled to 60 days sick leave in each calendar year. However, it must be certified by a registered medical practitioner.
